Katherine Milton's experience in commercial arts, education, and writing, spans more than two decades. She has worked in the digital arena since 1989, producing both print, and interactive media including CD ROM development, instructional design and website design.

Specializing in educational media, she has worked extensively with multi-disciplinary artists, developing culture-specific educational materials for classroom teachers, that both demonstrate thematic constructs towards teaching cultural information, as well as integrating the art-making process into the standard curriculum. Her workshops focusing on e-learning, and online content delivery strategies have been hosted internationally, with sponsorship from such organizations as the European Commission for the Arts, and the British Council of Morocco.

Dr. Milton completed her studies in Anthropology, focusing on the African Diaspora, at DePaul University, Chicago. She holds a Ph.D. from the College of Education at Arizona State University, focusing on Educational Media and Computers, and a research seat at the London Institute, Central St. Martins College of Art and Design. Her doctoral research focused on the emergence of peer-leadership in text-based, online learning communities, and the phenomenon of "cognitive haunting." Dr. Milton is currently the Director of Ohio University's Aesthetic Technologies Lab which serves as the research and development branch of the College of Fine Arts.
